Let our voices be HEARD
Yes, I know. We're all more than a bit pissed about this decision. However spamming the forums with "fvck you fvcking asiasoft" is never a good way to show what you think.
So I've compiled a little list of things you can do to shart all over Asiasoft's face, without having to resort to childish temper tantrums on the forums (which can easily be deleted by Asiasoft anyways).
Alternative 1
- Facebook -
https://www.facebook.com/PlayRO2
The team responsible for social network interactions are required to report to their superiors about major changes in popularity or popular requests by players.
Unlike their page (or like, then unlike it). Post comments on there telling them what you think. If enough people unlike their page and complain about their IP ban, the Asiasoft FB team will have to tell their bosses about it.
If you bought @Cash you can even legitimately report their FB page for scamming. Having their FB page shut down will surely get the attention of the Asiasoft higher-ups.
Alternative 2
- Gravity -
gravitypr@gravity.co.kr
Gravity have more power than you think, and they're just as adamant about protecting their name and intellectual property as any other company.
Write an email to Gravity. Tell them about what Asiasoft did to you. Tell them about how Asiasoft is tarnishing the name of RO2 and Gravity. Tell them how you lost interest in playing RO2 and other Gravity games because of Asiasoft.
If enough people complain, Gravity might consider revoking Asiasoft's RO2 license and picking another distributor instead. A distributor who won't selectively ban their own region to save money.
Alternative 3
- Fraud Reports -
Did you buy @Cash? Are you a member of the currently IP-banned region? Then you, my friend, is a victim of fraud.
It was Asiasoft's responsibility to inform you that you might not be able to use your purchased virtual currency due to an upcoming IP-range ban. Something they conveniently forgot to mention during these Cash Shop presentations (aka. "stress-tests").
Therefore, call your bank, or visit them in person. Inform them that you have been the victim of fraud and they will help you file the correct papers against Asiasoft. You might even get your money back.
If enough people do this, Asiasoft might loose their payment processor contract (this will affect @Cash purchases for ALL their games). They might even get blacklisted by the major banks in your country, perhaps even all countries.
Alternative 4
- PR Nightmare -
A company such as Asiasoft relies on the free advertisement they get from gaming blogs, gaming websites, youtube videos, FB posts and more. Loosing that would result in loss of profits, higher expenses and less recognition world-wide.
Therefore, contact gaming blogs you know of. Contact gaming websites you know of. Make comments on youtube videos. Comment on FB posts. Inform everyone about this "breaking news" that Asiasoft is scamming people for @Cash and IP-banning regions without good reason.
If Asiasoft recieves enough bad publicity, they might rethink their current strategy. Or they might get branded forever as "That one gaming company you should never trust" which would spell out their demise. Either way they loose and we (the gamers) win.
I will be adding to this list as things come to me. But for now, enjoy these 4 ways of making your voice truly heard. :)
